The principle of electrostatic flocking is to make use of the physical characteristics of same-sex repulsion and opposite-sex attraction, so that the fluff is negatively charged, and the object to be flocked is placed under zero potential or grounding conditions, and the fluff is attracted by the plant body by the different potential. It accelerates vertically to the surface of the object that needs to be flocked. Since the plant body is coated with adhesive, the fluff is vertically stuck to the plant body. Electrostatic flocking is a new production process that utilizes the natural characteristics of electric charges.

Common flocking machines are divided into two types, one is the flocking machine that outputs high frequency and high voltage, the frequency is generally tens of kilohertz, the high voltage range is between 60,000 and 100,000, and the output current is relatively small, generally at zero a few mA. The flocking machine has the advantages of small size, light weight, convenient operation, low manufacturing cost and strong mobility. It is widely used in small-scale manual operations! There is also a flocking machine that outputs power frequency high voltage. The high voltage range is roughly between 40,000 and 80,000, and the output current is relatively large, generally 3 to 5 mA! This kind of machine has the disadvantages of large size and heavy weight, but its performance is relatively stable and the repair rate is low!
